For some crazy reason, I thought it would be a good idea to travel with THREE kids!! LOL, actually it wasn’t too bad and the boys did amazing on the flights. But we are NOT going back home anytime soon. It was just enough to make me not want to travel.
Our trip was busy but we had tons of fun. A trip to the beach, a trip to Disneyland, a birthday party for all 3 kids, lots of family/friend visits and the best part of all...FREE babysitters (Thanks OMA!)
Mattilyn, Matt and I spent the night in Laguna while the twins went home for the night with Oma. It was actually cold there in the evening and I had to buy Matti and I a sweater! Definitely in Texas anymore!!
Disneyland was lots of fun, but the kids wore out quickly! We made our rounds through the crowds and got on a few rides. Once the kids had enough, Oma came to the rescue and picked the kids up and took them all home :) So hubby and I had a little date night at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Since we weren’t having a big party at home for Maison and Maxton, we had a family BBQ to celebrate all 3 birthdays. Our dear sweet friend Kat made the BEST birthday cakes for the kids and cupcakes for the adults. They were almost too cute to smash...but the boys didn’t have a problem with that!
The above pics are ALL of Maison! Daddy had too much with him, while Maxton was quickly whisked away by Oma to get cleaned up.
And Last but not least, I was able to meet up with some awesome twin mommy friends! It was so fun to have other twins around who are the same age, and see how they all interacted. We met up with sweet Christian and Ava, and Nathan and Landon. I loved comparing stories and talking to someone who TRULY understands what it means to have twins!!!
(and take note, ZERO of SIX kids are looking at the camera!)
All in all, it was a great trip. Matti went to her first concert, kelly Clarkson...who btw she knows lives in Mansfield and is determined that we are going to her house to tell her we saw her sing!!
And in case you aren’t sick of my kids yet, here are some more pictures from our trip :)
